1971, Karl Weschke
Edition Number: unknown
Unsigned but sold directly for the family of Karl Weschke with provenance. Has ‘Handmade’ and ‘Hayle Mill’ watermarks.
In good condition, with light ageing to the very edges of the paper. This print has been lightly cleaned and still has light ageing marks in places and a couple of spots of possibly oil. Good authentic and rare print, ready to frame.
This etching is an image and theme that was repeated in the work of Weschke. We also have a monotype and the lithograph ‘Je t’aime’, for sale. Dankoff (Weschke’s Russian Wolfhound) appeared in a number of his paintings.
