Signed and dated in pen, by the artist.
Erik Scholz (1926 – 1995) was a Hungarian artist whose work was mostly figurative in paint and print. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and later studied and worked in Paris. He exhibited across Europe at the Salon d’Automne, Paris, at the Museum Ernst in Budapest, at Art Basel in Switzerland, the Kunsthalle Tübingen in Germany, and at the Academy of Fine Art in Vienna, Austria. This work is an etching of nude figure studies. It is signed Scholz and dated 74 in pen. It has a studio stamp embossed into the paper bottom left outside of the framed border.
Mounted with conservation standard mount-board and framed in a fabulous decorative gold frame. The frame has some wear and repairs, but adds an extra bit of liveliness to this already bustling crowd.
