c.1978, Edward Bishop
Edition Number: N/A
Supplied mounted and framed
Edward Bishop (1902-1997) was born, raised and lived in London. He was a member of the Royal British Artists and was an active member of the arts scene in London. The Times Obituary (16th June 1997) wrote that Bishop ‘played a prominent role in the Bohemian British art world of the post war years’.
This small Lino cut titled ‘Nude with a Victorian Lamp’ (in pencil beneath mounted edge) is a Christmas card from Bishop, from 1978.
To match the lamp, it is framed in a victorian egg and dart solid wood frame. The frame has some light wear but is in very good condition and ready to hang.
