Owl – Iwao Akiyama
Price includes UK shipping.
1977, Iwao Akiyama
Edition Number: 80 / 100
Dated and titled in pencil by the artist. Artist stamp in red.
One of Iwao Akiyama’s most recognised images is the owl. The Japanese script tells a haiku poem by Taneda Santōka. Santōka was ordained, so it is likely to have elements of Buddhism in the haiku.
The print is in good condition and is on the flecked Japanese paper usually used by Akiyama. Supplied mounted on conservation quality mount-board and a reconditioned solid wood frame. The frame shows some minor wear, but is in good condition and ready to hang.
