Supplied in conservation standard mount and light wood modern frame. The frame is reconditioned and there are a few small chips to the wood, but it is in good condition overall. The print is in good condition and has had some light conservation cleaning. The back of the print paper is rough, as it had to removed from a board it had previously been stuck to.
There was an artist called Mary Barnes active during the 1970s, who was also an author, public speaker and schizophrenic, and this may be that Mary Barnes. Not confirmed as yet.
This image reminds me of the slightly spooky atmosphere in childhood adventure books … don’t go in the abandoned house at the end of the street!
