Ian Sidaway RI (b.1951) was originally trained as a graphic designer and had a short career in advertising (not unlike a number of the artists we have listed). Sidaway is more known as a painter and was elected as a member to the Royal Institute of Painters, in 2010. This 1970’s detailed etching is perhaps influenced by his work as carpenter, builder and gardener, paying the bills as he developed his artistic practice.
Mounted with conservation standard mount-board and framed in a reconditioned modern frame. The frame shows some wear, but is in good condition and ready to hang.
