From a distance this appears to be a just an image of a flower. A closer look reveals a copulating couple. A fab little wood engraving by Paynter (born 1943) who was instrumental in resurrecting the Society of Wood Engravers in the 1980’s. She has since held the position of Chair in the society.
The print is in good condition and the wooden frame has been painted off-white. It has some light wear but is in good condition and ready to hang.
