c.1920, Charles Walch

Edition Number: 20/72

Supplied mounted on conservation quality mount-board and framed.

A mysterious musician appears in the night and with a gentle sway of the accordion, sends you off to sleep. Or maybe a street musician, who accompanies your journey home.

The print is in excellent condition and the vintage dark brown frame shows a little wear, but is in good condition.

Charles Walch (1898 – 1948) was a French artist who was born in Alsace in 1898. He attended the school of Beaux-Arts in Paris, and become a professor of drawing in 1923. His paintings and other work were widely exhibited France and in 1949, The Museum of Modern Art in Paris organised a retrospective exhibition of his paintings, engravings, drawings, gouaches and sculptures.
