1960s Furniture Interior

Date and Artist unknown

Supplied mounted on conservation standard mount-board and framed.

A watercolour and gouache painting of 1950s or 1960’s furniture. It is from a set of pictures for Mercier Frères (established 1828) who were a firm of French furniture and tapestry makers of the highest calibre. In the early 20th Century, Mercier Frères started to produce furniture in the popular Art Deco style. Prints of this original painting may have ended up in a catalogue or other advertising for the company.
