Constance Anne Parker (1921-2016)

Constance Anne Parker (1921 – 2016) was an accomplished sculptor, printer and painter who studied at the Royal Academy. She also notably wrote a biography of George Stubbs called Mr Stubbs the Horse-Painter.

In 1974 she was appointed Librarian of the Royal Academy, the first woman to become an Officer of the institution. Around this time she was exhibiting widely in London and beyond. She had a solo exhibition of her sculpture at the Belgrave Gallery, London in 1977.
