The Flight of Icarus and the Fall of Icarus are both etchings, numbers 29/50, and dated 76 and signed in pencil. I absolutely love these images and are making them available for sale as a pair because I can’t bear to split them up! I am also selling them framed.
It would be easy to frame these in modern frames and they would still look great, but sometimes a picture deserves something a bit special. These chaps (or rather this chap x 2) deserve something a little bit fabulous with a touch of glamour. I have framed them in matching wooden frames c.1880 that have had a bit of re-working done, and a gilt finish. It is rare to find a matching pair of frames like this, and they are the perfect size for the pair of Icarus etchings. I hope you agree that they look fantastic!
