Usuchaki – Tea Caddy Japanese Woodblock Print

Artist Unknown
Date: 1901
Edition Number: Unknown
Signature: Included in the text.

An original Japanese Woodblock print from the early 1900s, featuring a Chanoyu tea caddy and lid, and printed on Washi paper. There is a fold down the centre of the work, and this has been mounted out to create two distinct images in the frame. The image also includes a poem written in Japanese script.

Artwork Condition: Excellent condition. There are a couple of marks in the paper, but these are imperfections in the original making of the paper. There is a fold down the centre of the paper and it partially split along the crease.
Framing: Mounted with conservation standard board and framed in a reconditioned frame. The frame has very light wear, but is in good condition and ready to hang.
