1974, Tony Kerins
Edition Number: AP
Signed, dated, numbered in pencil by the artist
Supplied mounted and framed
A large multi-colour screenprint, with the detail of a painting. An experiment in creating a painterly look from a printing technique. Printed by Tony when he was a student from, a drawing he made of the vessel not long before it was broken up. The print is on very thin paper and will be shipped flat in a conservation standard mount, to prevent creasing. The print has been lightly cleaned and pressed. This artist proof is missing a couple of final layer of print, but looks very strong as is.
The ship was launched from Belfast in 1886 and had many roles including the ferrying of coal, fish and guns.
