Rights of Man

1977, Paul Peter Piech
Edition Number: N/A
Signed and dated in pencil, by the artist
Light fold creases to the edges of the paper, but these are mounted out and don’t detract from this striking print.
Supplied mounted on conservation standard mount board, and modern framed. The gold-coloured frame is reconditioned and has some wear, but is in good condition and ready to hang.
This print features a quote from Thomas Paine’s (1737 – 1809) most famous work, The Rights of Man, published in 1791. In it he defended the values of the Revolution – those of ‘Liberté, égalité, fraternité’. It provides perfect inspiration for a classic Piech politically driven artwork.
