A linocut print from David Binns (1935 – 2020) who was a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists and a four-times winner of the RSPB Fine Art Award.
He was the son of landscape artist Dan Binns. He studied at Leeds College of Arts, and taught art at Aireville School, Skipton and then Ermysted’s Grammar as head of the art department. From 1979 he was a freelance artist living and working in Northumberland overlooking Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve, and then returning to Yorkshire.
He was a member of the Society of Wildlife Artists from 1964 until 2012, and ran the Brent Art Gallery with his wife Molly until 2006.
