This traditional woodblock has been estimated as being from the late 1800s. The print is part of a series of depicting birds, fish and insects, and is printed on traditional Japanese paper. The crease down the centre does not detract from the image, once in the frame. It is framed to in a reconditioned black thin frame some wear showing through in deep red (see pics).
