The pricing for works of art on our website reflect the time that has spent on conservation work, mount-board, frames and other equipment, as well as the general costs of running a business. This means the price we will pay for an artwork will be quite a lot lower than the prices you see in our online shop. It is likely that you will get more for your artwork if you sell it yourself. If you want to receive the maximum price possible for your artwork, have a look at other options for selling it, such as traditional auctions or online marketplaces.
If you decide to contact us about buying your artwork …
When you contact us, please describe your artwork as fully as possible. As well as the title, date and artist (if known), details of the size, signatures or other notes, as well as the condition. If there is damage to the paper it doesn’t mean that the artwork isn’t worth anything, so please be as detailed as possible.
Please include a photo or two, including any areas of damage.
Please include the price you would like for your artwork. We generally expect the seller to come to us with an asking price. This saves time, but we also think it is clearer, fairer and more straight-forward for both you and us.
If we agree a price …
If you decide to go ahead and sell your artwork to us after we have agreed a price, please pack it up well and ship it to us with insurance to cover the price we have agreed. Once we receive the artwork and check that it matches the details of our discussion, we will transfer funds straight into your bank account for the amount we agreed.
Please note: you are responsible for getting the artwork to us in the condition described. We are not responsible for it until we have taken receipt. If the artwork differs significantly from your description / photographs, it will be returned to you.
