Terence Millington (b.1942)
Terence Millington (b. 1942) was born and raised in Birmingham where he first attended art college, before continuing his studies in Manchester. He is an accomplished print maker, and his work is held in many collections including the Tate, the British Council and the Arts Council collections.
His later work is usually in colour, highly detailed still life or landscape studies. I personally prefer his earlier work from the 1970’s which are usually large scale monochrome etchings with slightly quirkier themes. These interior scenes are slightly eerie, a feeling emphasised by the large flat areas of space contrasting with the detail of the objects.
