Ilse Toothill

Ilse Toothill (neé Bolek) worked extensively as an illustrator for the publisher Frederick Muller with her husband Harry Toothill in the 1960s.

The books included Burmese and Thai Fairy Tales andTurkish Fairy Tales retold by Eleanor Brocket from 1965 and 1963 respectively. She also illustrated Danish Fairy Tales by Inge Hack, and many of the Kennedys Abroad books (a series of 15 travel books by various authors published during the 1960s).
