Anne Jope (b.1945)
Anne Jope is an artist, illustrator and printmaker. She was born in 1945 in Corfe Mullen, Dorset.
Jope studied painting followed by postgraduate printmaking at the Central School of Art & Design in London, where she was tutored in wood engraving by Blair Hughes Stanton. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, and Member of the Society of Wood Engravers.
Jope has exhibited in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, The Royal Academy, London, St Davids Hall, Cardiff, The National Portrait Gallery, London, Bristol City Museum & Art Gallery, and she has illustrated many 20th century books.
