A beautiful linocut from Penny Berry Paterson (1941 – 2021). Penny specialised in limited editions of her original prints, often depicting colourful images inspired by coastal and nautical themes, and is evident in this print. She produced mainly relief prints, using lino, card and wood. Coquet Island is a small island off the Northumberland coast, which is home to a wide variety of seabirds including puffins, and is now managed by the RSPB.
The print is in excellent condition and white painted frame suits it perfectly. The reconditioned frame has some wear, but is in good condition and ready to hang.
