Auguries of Innocence, Poem by William Blake. Illustrated by Paul Peter Piech. Designed and printed by Paul Peter Piech at his private press The Taurus Press of Willow Dene, Bushey Heath, 1970. Taurus Poem No. 13. Limited edition number 105/200.
Condition is good with light wear to the spine and edges of the cover. There is some discolouration / ageing, typical of its age. Print still strong and no bends or creases to pages.
In 1959, Paul Peter Piech set up a private printing press – The Taurus Press. He published contemporary and older works of poetry, in a style which made the printed word as much an art form as the words or illustration. Together, these elements create inspirational works of graphic design, each a hand numbered limited edition item.
