Adam and Eve wood engraving

Price includes UK shipping.

1966, Muriel Miller

Edition Number: Unknown
Signed and dated by the artist in pencil.

Muriel Miller was born in England in 1904, though she is associated with Australia as she worked there for much of her working life. She is known mostly for wood engravings and etchings.

Newly reframed and mounted with conservation standard mount-board. The print is on thin tissue paper and there are a couple of thin areas of paper to the bottom right. Not really visible now the print is framed. The print has had a light conservation clean, but there is a very light stain towards the bottom, which is also barely noticeable. There is some acid damage to the outside edge of paper from the previous mount. This is not visible once mounted. The frame is preowned – used and has some light wear. It is plain wood with possibly a bamboo veneer.
