Marzia Colonna is now practising mostly in sculpture. This painting is from 1977, five years after her first exhibition. Marzia is based in Dorset and so this may be a local scene to her, but there’s no location given and this painting feels more of an exploration into impressionism, than about painting a local scene..
The painting is in excellent condition with no obvious damage or wear. It has recently been reframed (behind glass) in a broad gold frame. The frame is actually an inner frame from an old large frame. It has wear marks and gold touched up (see pics) but works well with this painting. It is ready to hang on your wall.
