As is usual for Iwao Akiyama’s prints, this one contains an owl and a haiku. The title is Itsumade utau that roughly translates into English as How long will I sing. The haiku is by Taneda Santoka.
Artwork Condition: This artwork has had a conservation clean and is very good condition. It is printed on a slightly off-white traditional flecked Japanese thin paper that contains specs and marks within it (see pics). There are some small tape marks on the outer edges of the paper but these are hidden by the mount.
Framing: Framed in a modern gold/copper thin wooden frame, that shows some wear, but is in good condition and ready to hang. The print is mounted with conservation standard mount-board.
