This traditional woodblock has been estimated as being from the late 1800s. The print is part of a series of depicting birds, fish and insects, and is printed on traditional Japanese paper. There is a light crease down the centre but this does not detract from the image, once in the frame. It is framed in a vintage frame, which has some wear to the edges, but we don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

The frame is restored and as such has some imperfections. It has some wear and some chips, to the beading on the front. The frame is wooden, but it could be bakelite for the veneer.
