Mounted with conservation standard board and framed in a reconditioned light wooden frame. The frame has some light wear, but is in good condition and ready to hang. The print is in excellent condition.
Hillside Gate is a coloured wood engraving by Edwina Ellis (b.1946) featuring a gate structure in Morocco. It is part of a series that Ellis made in the 1980’s from her travels. Ellis is a printmaker, engraver and designer and has worked on a diverse range of projects. She has designed a number of commemorative coins for the Royal Mint, posters for TFL and continues to research methods and materials for printmaking. She has been a fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers since 1986.
