The Fire Eater is an etching of the subject which formed the lead image for his major solo exhibition at Tate St Ives in 2004 Beneath Black Sky – paintings and drawings 1953 – 2004. This particular print was part of the RWA’s Fire: Flashes to Ashes in British Art 1692-2019 Exhibition, which ran until September 2019.
This print was framed for the exhibition but wasn’t photographed before it was framed. The main image on this listing is for no. 77 from the same edition, which is for sale here. Both are in very similar condition. It is available for £400 without the frame. Please get in touch if you’d like to purchase this print without frame and mount.

Availability: In stock

This print was framed especially for the recent RWA exhibition. It has some light damage/marks from being handled during the exhibition (see photos). No major damage though and not really noticeable once hanging.
