Takuji Kubo was born in Saijyo City, Ehime, Japan, in 1948. He studied for both a bachelors and masters degree at Tama University of Fine Arts in Tokyo, in the 1970s.
He is still producing work today and has exhibited all over the world. His etchings and engravings are incredibly detailed. If you take a look at one under a magnifying glass, you'll see 1000s of fine lines, which create the final image.
Landscapes feature in his later work, but we have some work from the 70s/80s featuring animals and plant-life.
